Not at all: Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a self-limited process. Even though we do not know the exact causes, we do know its natural history. In general, after the initial pain (inflammatory phase) wears off, the stiffness will resolve mostly on its own over a 8-16 month period. You may not regain 100% of the motion, but you may be close. Physical therapy or surgery may not improve the result!

It should be super--: Vised by your local orthopod, as it can take a long while. 
Nsaids, pt with passive rom exercises under pt supervision ; to monitor your progress, steroids injections might be useful. Manipulation of the joint under anesthetic might be needed. Scope surgery might be required, if nothing else works.

Shoulder: Be patient. Frozen shoulder may take up to 6 months to resolve. Work with your team of doctors , specialists, and physical therapist.

Frozen shoulder: If physical therapy did not solve the problem adequately then surgical intervention is often needed. While manipulation under anesthesia can be helpful, a more aggressive arthroscopic release of adhesions/capsular release can also be necessary.  Talk with your doctor regarding further recommendations.

PT: Physical therapy is the cornerstone of treatment, in resistant cases localize steroid injection or even manipulation under anesthetic may become necessary remember the less you move your shoulder the worse the pain.

Frozen Shoulder: Frozen shoulder syndrome (fss) (adhesive capsulitis) can be a really difficult condition to work through. Many patients will benefit from physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications. Most cases will resolve over months, but some are more resistant. Visiting a chiropractor is a personal choice, but you may want to review the suggested treatment with your pt/physician before actually doing it.

Frozen shoulder: Exercises to treat frozen shoulder are pretty standard and focused on the condition not what cuased it.  Generally initial goal is to achieve range of motion w gentle passive range of motion then progress to active assist and stregthening.

Adhesive Capsulitis: Sometimes a steroid shot helps, but frozen shoulders are difficult painful problems. You really have to be aggressive with pt. However, the natural history of a frozen shoulder is that they improve by about 12-15 months and go through a "thawing phase." if you're still having this much pain, you may need a second opinion or an mri.

i have been diagnosed with frozen shoulder and am having physio therapy. today after therapy i began having throbbing pain in armpit. is it related , i have extreme health anxiety and am terrified ?

Likely.: A frozen shoulder is caused by collapse of the shoulder joint capsule,  and adhesion of the capsule onto itself.  

During pt,  sometimes the capsule is stretched and the adhesion may come apart.  It can be very painful.  It should resolve with time,  but if you are concerned,  notify your physician.
