Walking: Walking on a wound will delay or prevent healing. You should see a podiatrist (foot doctor).

No: See a podiatrist asap. Don't play around with puncture wounds. There could be a deeper underlying infection etc. How about tetanus history? Any sore/ wound that doesn't heal i a healthy person should be seen sooner than later.

You : You didn't mention anything about the state of your general health.  I would wonder if you're a diabetic or have circulation problems.

Either way, i'd be concerned about the development of a bone infection.  Has the toe been x-rayed since it ulcerated?  Did anyone try to probe the ulcer to see if it is deep to the bone?  You may need several months of antibiotics, and possibly even surgery if the bone is infected.

If you feel none of your doctors are looking into this, you may want to get another opinion.  Bone infections are serious.

Tetanus booster: Your wound cleaning is fine. Make sure to have some one else look at it so that there are no foreign particles embedded in the wound.
Make sure to get tetanus booster shoot. If you never took tetanus vaccine, now would be a good time.

Rest, time, PT, Rx: Midfoot ligament tear will heal with rest and minimal immobilization. Ultrasound therapy is helpful.  Injecting platelet rich plasma may help.  An NSID is ok if you are able to tolerate the drug.  I like the idea of your wearing a brace - it serves as a reminder to rest the foot.

This : This can be anything from a simple skin fissure to skin cancer.  There is simply not enough information to give you a meaningful answer.  So, so many things can cause "sores" on the foot that it's impossible to tell without seeing it and knowing more information.

Why not just go to a podiatrist and find out what's wrong?

Something is wrong: Gosh, why wait sooooo long?
What has gone on during that period of time....this is way too long of a time period for this to be going on. Did it heal and then perhaps come back?mor never healed? Did the doctor attempt to redo the procedure? Sometimes nail spicule is left behind, or a cyst develops.....you need to get this fixed. I'd also get xrays to make sure no bone involvement.

: keep area clean with soap and water, apply any OTC antibiotic ointment and keep it covered with a band aide. Healing of a wound takes 8-10 days at least and cant be speeded up.

Needs exam: You may have a plantar wart or other process that will require formal medical attention to heal. If this has gon on for a while &amp; interferes with your activities it is worth having a doc look at it &amp; treat it.
