Sounds like: Plantar fascitis. Arch supports, ice, anti-inflammatory, massage of painful spot are all a good part of a treatment plan.

A Little: Most podiatrists, orthopedists and anesthesiologists use very "small gauge" needles (27 to 30 gauge) when placing local anesthesia. Needles this size cause only minimal discomfort...Usually mild stinging, and then only for a brief moment before the anesthetic takes effect. Don't stress about it!

my mum who had a stroke 17 months ago  ishaving physiotherapy when she is standing up her stroke effected side leg an foot really hurt is this normal?

Abnormal: Any pain is abnormal except maybe contraction pain during delivery, but in any case not pleasant!!! I think your mom might have developed contractures (muscle shortening and atrophy) after the stroke.  It is normal for her hopefully get better with time.

i got custom orthotics and am a college runner. now my foot really hurts better the first and second metatarsal and i cant run. thought my shoes were too tight at first but now it hurts to lift toes 2 weeks later. what could this be? seeing doc mon?

Adjustments needed: I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to explain. However whenever a patient gets new orthotics sometimes they need to be adjusted. Obviously these types of pains and discomfort should not occur. Give your doctor the opportunity to adjust them. Discontinue using them until you see your doctor

just got home from watching track meet.and my foot is really hurting right in my 1st metatarsal.didnt hurt it but hurts to move foot.not really bruise?

Knowing what part: Of the bone hurts would help. The head of the bone at the joint? The shaft? The bottom of the head. Lots of possibilities: is it the sesamoid area? Is there swelling? Is there redness? Try and be as specific as possible.... Gout, stress fracture, sesamoid it's or fracture are all in the differential diagnosis.

are these normal complications with a broken foot? so i was put into a boot about 5 weeks ago and my foot still really hurts, i broke my 5th metacarpal and my foot is still bruised and when my foot is out of the boot it turns inward and my shin is startin

Something : Something is not right. Have some follow up x rays. The fracture may not be healing normally. If the fracture is good look into the peroneal tendons.
