Accepted Answer

Usually after 24-48: Hours you can begin to eat more normally. After wisdom tooth surgery  i tell my patients to stay with liquids and very soft food for 24 hours and then move into your regular diet over the next few days. Absolutely: Have the tooth evaluated for restoration or extraction.

Accepted Answer

There shouldn't be: Years after an extraction, the site is fully healed. In fact, it's closed up within a month or so, give or take week.

Preop/Postop ins: These matters should be explained in your post op instruction, i.e. What to do after the surgery...  Eat balance meal.  Soft food preferably on the first day.  Avoid nut, taco, chips, and sharp food that may injure the inflamed tissue.  Take a lot of fluid.  Keep the surgical area clean.  Call your dentist.

Yes: Base things on how you feel. Since only one was removed, you have the ability to have smaller portions, utilizing the opposite side.  Only caveat is if sutures were placed i would stick to the rule of "only what you can easily separate with a fork" type of food for the first week.

is it ok to left the foods remain in the socket when the wisdom tooth hole has completely covered?

Good hygiene : When the wisdom tooth is removed the roots leave a ‘socket’ in the bone. This hole in the gum may last for up to 3 months to heal completely. Care of the mouth is very important for proper healing. Good hygiene and proper wound care would be keeping the area clean.

Wisdome tooth: The extraction of wisdom teeth is not needed if you have no symptoms, or if the teeth are aligned correctly.  We usually recommend making the decision of extracting a non symptomatic tooth by the age of 35. Extracting a wisdom tooth after the age of 35, may result in complications that you would want to avoid. The best way to determine if you must extract the tooth/teeth soon, is to see an oral su.

Ask your dentist: It is probably OK by now, but you should ask the dentist Who did the extraction. They should have given you instructions after the procedure, but if they did not you should call them and ask.  Good luck.

got wisdom tooth pulled 2 days ago. when can i drink out of a straw again? what foods should i avoid? when can i start my normal diet? thanks !!

7-10 days: No drinking with straw because it can create a negative pressure and cause clot to break up and create bleeding.  Clot protects bone so you do not get a bone infection  
No hot spicy foods or salty snacks and no smoking 
Normal diet now but avoid small particle foods like rice.  Again easy on the salt and spices

Post-surgery eating: It sounds like you're ready to eat solid foods. It's best to add "gentle"solid foods like pancakes, eggs, mashed potatoes, soft pasta or anything you can cut easily with a fork, to your diet. It is best to avoid crunchy, hard foods like popcorn, nuts and chips for one week following surgery.
