See below: Soya beans are high in protein, which can lead to formation of stones. Soya bean oil is fat and should be ok to take in kidney stones. In general be careful with amount of fats for other health reasons.

Absolutely: Alimentum and nutramigen are the first two that are readily available that come to mind. They are a bit more expensive, but very easy to digest and no soy anything. They don't taste as good, so if the baby scoffs at eating them, can put one drop of vanilla in the entire bottle to flavor.

Too much is no good: Soy products have been dietary staples in asia for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Soy can contain compounds that affect thyroid function, and can be mildly estrogenic. Excessive intake, especially of processed soy products, e.g. Texturized soy protein, as opposed to natural sources like edamames, tofu, tempeh, could conceivably be a problem; mostly not. Soy oil doesn't have those chemicls.

Many: Just read the label. By law, the nutrition facts box on the package must list trans fats.

Some will: Pan frying and wok cooking, will add some oil to the things being cooked.  Limit the amount of oil and stir frequently which will help.  Overall, this is not a big source of calories from oil and it is a very effective cooking tool.

Healthy ones: Try using olive oil and low saturated oils such as grape seed oil. Also peanut and sunflower oils are good as well.

: Raising the temperature of any oil/food to 185 F degrees for 5 minutes kills botulism spores or toxin. Any common cooking oil that is brought to boil will exceed the temperature at which these are neutralized &amp; risk removed.

Mild diarrhea: As long as the diarrhea is "mild" continue to feed his regular diet. You may want to add 1-2 oz of extra water to account for any losses of fluid. If the diarrhea is worse or contains blood, or if it associated with vomiting, fever or pain see his doctor. BRAT diets may lead to increased diarrhea but are often appropriate for vomiting.

Fried food not wise!: Fried food is one of the least healthy things we can eat & is certainly not a good strategy for losing weight! eating "no carbs" is extreme. Not all carbs are bad- avoiding starches- sugar, grains, potatoes & sweeter fruits will help you lose weight, but do not avoid most vegetables. Varies: I would use olive oil in cold dishes as there are some concerns that many of the benificial properties are not heat stable.
