Normal ovarian cyst: An ovarian follicle matures monthly during the menstrual cycle. As it does so, an egg is ripened and released into the tube. The "cyst" remains behind, producing hormones which may increase in amount, if the cyst receives the proper hormonal stimulation from a fertilized egg. You are describing a healthy process. This is an indicator that you are fertile and likely capable of future pregnancy.

Small: The follicle usually reaches 18 to 20 mm when it is ready to ovulate. In the days preceding ovulation, follicles usually grow approximately 1 mm per day. Based on your number, i would guess you will be ovulating in 5 to 6 days, but this is just a guess, and it may be that you won't ovulate at all this cycle. Unfortunately it's hard to tell in advance what will happen. Would luck!

: A "day 12" ultrascan showing a "13.5 mm follicle" can be consistent with a pre-ovulatory follicle, and if all other factors are positive (sperm count, patent fallopian tubes, spontaneous ovulation of a viable egg, etc.) there is a "chance" for pregnancy.

Follicle size: If your wife has a normal 28 day cycle, she will be ovulating shortly.  A follicle is considered mature if it reaches 16mm, and the growth rate is approx. 3 mm/day.  So if your wife would ovulate within the next 48 hrs the size seems OK, and there is a good chance of conception.

hello, i am 38. my fsh is 13 nd my amh is 1.3. my follicle size is 16-17mm ( 9 th day). can i get success through ivf nd with my own egg?

Possibly day 17: Follicles are usually mature at approximately 20 or so millimeters in maximum  diameter. Follicles usually grow approximately 2 mm per day. On day 15 the follicle will probably be mature then release approximately two days later on day 17 of the cycle.

Clomid: Clomid assists in follicle growth culminating in ovulation.  A follicle of 13-14 mm is pre-ovulatory, and the only way of ascertaining whether ovulation has occurred is the vanishing of those observed follicles with another pelvic ultrasound.  See a reproductive endocrinologist if pregnancy does not occur in a few months, as more stimulation may be necessary with other agents.
