Many ways: There are many ways to increase focus. Brain training games like on Lumosity or other sites can help. Learning meditation is also effective. Some patients have great success with biofeedback for neurofeedback. Some patients can actually come off medications after neurofeedback treatments. Good luck to you.

It is a stimulant: Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) is the active half of methylphenidate (ritalin), so it's major difference is that it takes half as much to have the same effect.  It also lasts longer than methylphenidate.  Some claim is is "milder, " but that is unproven.  Side effects and benefits basically are the same as other stimulants.

Possibly: With non-fda approved supplements, it is very difficult to truly understand any medication interactions.  I reviewed the lumiday website and it seems they claim balanced serotonin levels so i would be more cautious with depression or other mood disorder meds. Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) xr acts primarily as a stimulant so may be okay but unfortunately i cannot state with certainty.  Try exercise, diet, mvitamin, etc.

Unlikely: There are screening tests and there are definitive tests. The screening tests can have false positives and false negatives, but the definitive tests are about 99% accurate. Especially with cocaine, it is very unlikely to have a false positive, Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) is a form of methylphenidate (ritalin) and is more closely related to amphetamine than cocaine.

2 different meds: Focalin is dexmethylphenidate, the isomer of methylphenidate, it is supposed to decrease the side effects.  Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is amphetamine, a different stimulant than methylphenidate.  Taking it on weekdays is a good idea.

Since it's potentially addictive and can be hard on your overall health, if it doesn't work - don't use it. But NEVER stop any med on your own. No: Dexmethylphenidate has a 4-6 hour duration of effect (a long-acting formulation, Focalin XR, which spans 12 hours is also available &amp; has been shown to be as effective.  It has also been demonstrated to reduce the symptoms of childhood ADHD,[12]  &amp;  ADHD in adults.]  
Typical daily doses of dexmethylphenidate are around 20-40 mg for children &amp; 40–60 mg for adults. A maximum of 80 mg can tolerated.
