A member asked:

What the difference between focalin (dexmethylphenidate) ir and adderall ir? which is a better drug for add? i only like to take them mon-fri not weekends my dr likes foca

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 different meds: Focalin is dexmethylphenidate, the isomer of methylphenidate, it is supposed to decrease the side effects. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is amphetamine, a different stimulant than methylphenidate. Taking it on weekdays is a good idea.
