Get this checked: Important to make certain that swelling and pain not due to thrombophlebitis, caused by venous blood clot.  Other causes include chemical imbalances, cardiovascular and kidney issues.  Best to be safe.

Take better care of: At your young age(22 year old) you should have better health that what you have described.
To achieve good health you have to take better care of your body and mind. This includes adequate sleep(7-8 hours daily), healthy Diet(low fat, plant based diet, free from junk fast foods and red meat) and some time(at least 30 mins) reserved for Exercise which can be a brisk walk in the morning or evenings

Many causes: This completely depends on other medical and risk factors?  Do you smoke? Do you have heart disease?  Do you have congestive heart failure? Did you eat a lot of salty food yesterday?

Swelling: It sounds as if you are having fluid retention. I would cut as much salt out of your diet and if the swelling does not go away see your doctor

Exam needed: Month long symptoms warrant an evaluation by a physician. Discomfort in that area can be from abdominal muscle, spleen or portion of the colon. Kidney discomfort is felt in the back or flank. Swelling of feet may or may not be related, but it's another reason to get examined and tested.

Sick: All these issues need a doctor's care. Low oxygen levels can lead to or worsen existing heart failure including the right side of the heart. Sleep apnea is also a possibility as is chronic respiratory failure but the patient needs to see a lung specialist.

Viral, autoimmune: This could be a viral infection. Certainly, one thing to consider would be mono. This is typical in your age group. This usually resolves in 5-10 days but if symptoms continue I would also consider doing some lab as a connective tissue disease could also present like this, with some vague symptoms.

: Lymphedema of the legs can fluctuate and cause  warm skin and may also cause reddening of the skin. Consult a vascular surgeon to evaluate you for lymphedema and, if present, advise you about cause &amp; treatment options.

See a Dr.: These symptoms are worth seeing a Dr for. Could indicate problems with heart, kidneys, diabetes or other significant illnesses.  A Dr can perform a thorough exam and run tests that can identify the underlying cause and needed treatment.
