Exam needed: Month long symptoms warrant an evaluation by a physician. Discomfort in that area can be from abdominal muscle, spleen or portion of the colon. Kidney discomfort is felt in the back or flank. Swelling of feet may or may not be related, but it's another reason to get examined and tested.
