Healing: It takes 6-9 months for pain from cesarean to go away.  Eventually for nearly 99% of women the pain will go away completely withe time.  Sometimes there is a trapped nerve that needs to be treated with steroid injections and pain medication injections, but that's fairly rare. She should see her doctor if after 4-6 months not getting better, but right now, still completely normal.

new lump: Hernias occur when there is a weakness for separation in the deep supporting tissue (fascia)  allowing for internal structures such as the intestines or ovaries to push their way out into the soft tissues under the skin.   It can be  a collection of blood or fluid in the same area from local trauma  or simply absorption of the deep sutures.   Seek help if it increases in size or increases in pain.

Abdominal lump ?'s: If the "lump" is "hard and immovable" , it needs evaluation by your gyn physician, and imaging via radiology or ultrasound to determine the origin/nature of potential treatment.

Scar: It is difficult to determine without an evaluation. It could be a hypertrophic scar, keloid, and so forth. It is difficult to speculate without visualization. Best thing to do is to schedule a follow up appointment with the surgeon who performed the c-section. Or consider telemedicine.  Good thing is that there is no discharge, it is not red and there is no fever. I hope this helps.

had an ultra sound lower abdomen just below c -section scar and results came back stating the lump i felt was fat. could this become cancerous?

No: There are tumors (sarcomas) which are cancers of connective tissue (which is type of tissue, along with fat, that's under your scar).  Lumps under cesraean section scars are usually scars that can take years to dissolve and go away.  The chances of this lump under your cesarean become cancer is very very very close to zero.  Doctor can inject with steroids if causing you pain, but time will heal.

Hernia, fluid: Hi ConnieM,  2 months out  the lump could be either a hernia, which is a defect or hole in the fascia (the abdominal layer that keeps everything inside), or a collection of fluid that has been sitting there, or scar tissue under the skin .  Hernias mostly can be reduced: that is the part of the bowel that is protruding can be pushed back through the hole.  If there is pain, it is an emergency,
