I ha a c-section a few weeks ago and now have a big lump about 2 inches above my scar . is this a hernia and is it dangerous ?

It can be a collection of blood or fluid in the same area from local trauma or simply absorption of the deep sutures. Seek help if it increases in size or increases in pain.

Need evaluation : Your obgyn needs to evaluate you, preferably today or tomorrow. It could be a hernia, a collection of fluid under your scar, an infection, or nothing of concern. But without putting hands on your belly it is impossible to tell.
