Different conditions: Flagyl given four at a time is for treatment of trichomonas infection of the vagina. Bacterial vaginosis treatment requires a more prolonged treatment regimen of 7-10 days given two times per day. This works better if taken 12 hours apart rather than together based on the way Flagyl is metabolized in the body.

Contact doctor ASAP: You don't say what kind of infection you have. However, when these antibiotics are used together, ciprofloxacin often is just as important (or even more important) than metronidazole (Flagyl®). Check with your doctor ASAP; s/he probably will want to substitute another antibiotic for cipro.

Few days: Flagyl causes metallic tast.  Has a half life of about ten hrs.  This means after 10 hours, 1/2 of the dose is eliminated.  It should take a few days after the last does to be completely eleminated.

Go natural!: There are some great tricks to help her--if she uses tampons you can put some tea tree oil (2-3 drops) and coconut oil on the tampon and leave in overnight.  Another great trick is as product called RePhresh.  It's a homeopathic gel that you can get at most pharmacies.  It re-establishes the natural pH of the vagina.  A lot of girls will get this and eventually grow of it.

Depends: This largely depends on the severity of the flare and if appropriate meds are being taken to end the flare.Low dose weekly Methotrexate may take 6-8 weeks to start working.TNF-inhibitors (Enbrel, Remicade, (infliximab) Humira) work much faster,often with improvement after 2-3 weeks and ending flare within 3-6 weeks depending on dose used. Short burst of steroids can help provide some relief in 2-3 days

Yes: I assume you are talking about the stuff on a babies scalp...  If that is the case, then this is common and normal.  First i tell parents to remember that this is only cosmetic and not a real medical problem.  So if that reassures you then you can do nothing.  Otherwise, you can apply a dandruff shampoo twice weekly and use baby oil to soak in to the area and then flake off with a baby toothbrush.

Work toward health: If you are unhappy w your body, you can take action. Nutrition is very important. Get 8  8 oz glasses of water per day. Work in 5 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruit per day. Avoid junk food and take in carbs that are high in fiber.  Be physically active every day. Insure that calories burned exceed calories consumed.  For each healthy choice you make, give yourself a pat on the back.
