i hurt my elbow doing a back hand spring and i am getting a shooting pain up and down my arm and into my fingers.  it hurts most when i exercise. ?

i had an x-ray of wrist, elbow and forearm 9 days after injury and no evidence of fracture. i have tingling numbness and swelling in fingers and can move them but not bend or grasp fully without pain. could it be a hand fracture or a sress fracture?

: By 9 days after an injury any bone fracture would be more evident on x-rays from early changes at the fracture site. The symptoms sound more like nerve entrapment/dysfunction and soft tissue injury. A re-visit or visit with a sports medicine or orthopedic doc would be my next move.

will a broken elbow (vertical fracture on the radial head) cause pain and weakness in wrist/hand? or could it be a whole other injury? ive been having a hard time moving my hand and wrist. fingers have been swollen and i cant move my hand palm up?

: A nerve injury due to a broken elbow can cause wrist and hand weakness but it should not cause the swollen fingers. You probably have a hand injury at the same time. You should be re-examined and may need to have X-ray of the wrist &amp; hand done.

why do i get pain in both my wrists on the pinky side that causes pain in the fingers, pinky gets somewhat numb & pain goes all the way up to my elbow that aches really bad.  i partially tore a ligament in right wrist but no injury ever in left wrist?

Sounds like: Cubital Tunnel Syndrome! The ulnar nerve. May be “trapped” in the tunnel it “uses” to go by the elbow! Speak with your PCP

Ultimately, accurate diagnosis will determine the best course of treatment.

Ice.: Ice the elbow for 20 minutes at a time, 3-4 times per day. Take an over the counter anti-inflammatory medication.

Maybe: Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant not a pain med. It'll relax you but i'm not sure how much it'll help with pain.

Nerve compression: Nerve compression either the median nerve or the ulnar nerve at the wrist or forearm can radiate to the elbow 

carpal tunnel is medina nerve compression, pain typically goes to butnot above the elbow

these problems also alter mechanics and elbow issue such as tendonitis can accompany.

Neuropathy: The symptoms described sound like neuropathy in the ulnar nerve distribution area. It could be from compression of the nerve in the elbow area or it it could be overuse of the muscles too. see a neurologist

i've  pins & need feeling in my hand when it's moved a certain way but only in my ring finger up to my elbow & i don't wear a ring, it's like a shock ?

Nerve: It appears that a nerve gets pinched with that maneuver. It's possible that the impingement occurs at the wrist causing radiation of sharp pain. A hand surgeon or a neurologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you about where the impingement is occurring and what's causing it. Any appropriate tests will be ordered.
