fatigue,  tiredness, palpitations, and insomnia for 4 mos.  sometimes i have muscle twitches at night. cardiac workup, abdominal ultrasound, head mri all normal. k level is 3.2, vit. d level 18, ferritin level 14. could these levels cause symptoms?

No: low k levels would more likely cause generalized weakness. did you find out why it is low?
low vit d level can cause vague symptoms and should be addressed with your doctor. presumably, it can cause you to feel unwell. And low ferritin means low iron which can cause decreased energy, especially if you have anemia from it.

Yes that is: A low level.  Generally a low ferritin is due to poor iron stores, and the most likely cause is blood loss -- usually chronic in nature.

Iron deficiency: Ferritin levels per se will not cause symptoms. Low ferritin levels are an indication of iron deficiency and you may be anemic, if so, weakness, paleness, lack of exercise tolerance may be some symptoms. A woman of reproductive age loses iron in menstrual blood and it would be okay to take oral iron supplement with multivitamins.

Low ferritin: Ferritin is the storage form of iron.  If you are low in iron, it typically means you are anemic.  Either you are not taking in enough iron or you are losing too much As a female, I would ask how heavy are your periods, any change in diet or special diet, any heartburn or change in bowel habits or color of your stool.  A cbc is warranted and based off your answers to above, other tests.

Very low ferritin: this is an abnormally low level. Ferritin reflects  our body's iron stores. You need an immediate evaluation of why you're low iron stores are low. Are you bleeding into your gut?  Do you have copious vaginal bleeding? You need an urgent medical evaluation to determine the cause.you can't treat chronic bleeding with iron pills.  And yes, iron deficiency causes hair loss.

See internist: This problem is so complex that I would urge you to see an internal medicine doctor ASAP. Gluten-intolerance is one condition you will need to rule out but there are also issues which cannot be explained by gluten intolerance alone. I presume you have significant anemia as well. Please keep us update on the findings since getting feedback helps us to do a better job in the future.

Iron deficiency: anemia. Consult your pCP and obtain a hematology consultation. You may require iron supplementation and/or other bone arrow stimulants depending on the cause of your anemia.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it is higher than normal and may reflect excessive iron storage of chronic inflammation.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
