Very low ferritin: this is an abnormally low level. Ferritin reflects our body's iron stores. You need an immediate evaluation of why you're low iron stores are low. Are you bleeding into your gut? Do you have copious vaginal bleeding? You need an urgent medical evaluation to determine the cause.you can't treat chronic bleeding with iron pills. And yes, iron deficiency causes hair loss.
