my left thumb has been twitching for approx 3wks randomly. two days ago my r-leg twitched twice. last night i was body was restless could not sleep. now i'm having slight pain, feels like pins and needles in thighs and arms. what could this be?

...developing some..: Sounds like one is developing some form of Neuropathy (Peripheral). Nutritional, especially Vitamin deficiency- tend to cause these symptoms. But one should also have Doctor check for Diabetes or other Metabolic Disorders. Meanwhile some high level B-Complex vitamins could be added to diet.

i was put on coveram last week. yet i feel tired, dizzy when i stand and like pins and needles in my legs when i sit.

Coveram 5mg/5mg (perindopril arginine/amlodipine) . Please notify your prescribing doctor.

my skin is extremely sensitive and itchy.  it feels like pins and needles with a burning sensation all over my body but especially my legs.  this is the 4th time this has happen.  its to the point that it is unbearable.  what can i do?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may try taking multivitamins along with vitamin B12. If that does not resolve the issue it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

i have pain stemming from the back of my left leg (calf) down to the ankle and numbness like pins and needles in my toes on the left foot. ?

Nerves=numbness: First consider if there is any swelling present.  When someone presents with calf pain, it is important to be aware of the risks of blood clots in this area.   This would most likely present with swelling of the leg.  Many times people feel numbness in their foot in such a scenario.  Such pain could also be due to injury to the Triceps Surae.   If swollen, I send my patients for a doppler study.

i am a 33 year old male and i have developed varagus vains in my left leg. i get pins and needles in my legs when on the toilet. im sporty n confused ?

Get screened: Your "jock" can't beat your "genes." even athletes get varicose veins, and they are more driven by your genetics & personal construction than anything. Should get a screening exam by a vascular doc, as if bad, and only going to worsen, may be better tolerated to get addressed while younger / healthier. The pin/needle is from how you sit on toilet, which pinches nerve underside of leg, not bad.

i have been getting bad pins and needles in my legs should i be concerned ?

Sensory neuropathy: The symptom may be sensory neuropathy caused by spinal disc compression or osteoarthritis of the spine. Ask you MD to get EMG of legs, and an X ray and MRI os the lumbar and sacral spine. Also full neurlogical exmination of the legs is warranted.

doing p.t for possible thoracic os. but i have pins and needles in my legs and feet as well. neck and spine ok. emg fine. what could nerve fibre show?

Neuropathy : The EMG only looks at one particular kind of nerve fibers so others could still be affected.  Your physician should continue evaluating for other reasons for your symptoms.  Certainly tos does not explain the symptoms in your legs.

swelling in my fingers, ankles, and legs for the last 8 weeks. i had blood work in august when it began. all normal. on and off pins and needles in my legs and feet. i have swelling on the ankle bone and opposite side as well. is this concerning?

Swelling legs/ankles: Swelling (edema) at foot, ankle and leg + hand leave an indentation (pit). Edema is consequential to of excess fluid in  tissues. Swelling puts pressure on nerves -tingling. Many things can cause this — Kidney, cardiac condtions, diabetes. arthitis. heart failure or blockage in a leg vein, autoimmune diseases, toxins, alcoholism, and infections, and on. Full exam with doc!

Sacroiliac joint ligament laxity &amp; subluxation incites pre-sacral plexus impingement of neural tracts that beget her sciatic nerve; arousing paresthesias reflective of intermittent &amp; functional neural impingement. Organic stenosis would arouse constant radiculopathy characteristic of neuropathic pain.
