i had 4 wisdom tooth extraction 5 days ago.i am still having severe headache and dizziness.i am well hydrated and eat well.why am i feeling unwell?

hypersenstive nerve in jaw after tooth extraction years ago . just started  again with compression from denture. had lyrica (pregabalin) became ill. what can i do ?

Trigeminal neuraglia: You have what we call trigeminal neuraglia (tn)
have you tried taking Neurontin (gabapentin) 300mg or discussing other treatment  i.E complementary alternatives  medicines , (cam) with your neurologist .
I know tn  management is not an easy task.

See ur surgeon: Can't tell you why you have a 'weird" feeling.... Could be a pulled muscle, could be inflammation from the injection, could be something else. It needs to be physically evaluated, and you are under the care of a dentist... Give them a call for a follow up.

Keep rinsing: If the sensation of something being in the extraction site after eating, warm salt rinses should help.  If not, call your dentist and ask him for an irrigation syringe to clean the socket.

See your dentist: extraction of wisdom teeth could be traumatic and some time required cutting and suturing.
so the edema and swelling is expected.
but the numbness to last three days is unusual.
so my advise in addition to gargling with salt and water, and apply ice as much as you can, talk to your dentist and check if this is expected or not.

Tooth extraction: I usually use an elevator and try to cause the least trauma so there is less post-op pain. Sometimes its nes. To section a tooth or use forcepts. It should be painless.  You may feels a lot of pressure and some crackling sounds are normal. We provide headphones to watch tv during the procedure to remove the sound.

Zero: Local anesthetics are given to numb the area completely and therefore you should not feel anything for the procedure. Nitrous Oxide\Oxygen or IV sedation is also available for the very anxious patient. Some soreness afterwards is to be expected which can be handled with an appropriate OTC or prescription pain medication.

how long does tooth extraction heal?

One to two weeks: Normally it's about a week or so that the socket of the extracted tooth heals and closes as it fells up with blood that coagulate and turns into bone later, and the socket gets shallower as it heals.
If that blood clot got dislodged for amy reason , that can cause the socket not to heal.
The condition is very painful and known as dry socket.
See your dentist to get it treated.
