Hard or fatty?: A hard lump could be a small fibroma. A fatty lump would not be hard. This would be a lipoma. Both are usually benign but to be sure you need an exam. Get it checked out so you can stop worrying about it.Hope this helps.

i have a new lump directly above my knee cap on one knee (inner front). i did have ultrasound and was told that i have asymmetrical fatty tissue over the knees that is unencapsulated. lump has been present 2 months & is often hot to the touch?

since 2-3 months i have a lump 10x12cm on the thigh. echotomography results are non vasularized, non encapsulated fat tissue. afraid of lypocarcoma and of biopsy. is deep echo imaging good enough? is mr a gold standard diagnosis? shoud it be removed?

Lipoma...: Lump which is contender, soft, or firm but on scan no concern . Common is deposits of fatty tissue in subcutaneous layer - it happens without reason. it is benign  condition. Sometimes  it  may be also skin "  wax" retired as sebaceous cyst. Either condition is benign  and unless anoying - leave it alone.  If Any unusual growth, redness, pain .. see your doctor

Remove it: The fatty lumps, not just fat itself, should be removed if they cause you any concern.  Although nearly all of these are benign, they may get large and become obtrusive.  They usually can be removed under local anesthesia as an outpatient.

Male breast: lesion.  If it was ultra sounded two years ago and diagnosed as a lipoma, it may or may not still be a lipoma now.  Regardless it is painful, that is a criteria for removal.  I would see his doctor and get a referral to a surgeon to get it removed.  This is a fairly straight foreword procedure.  It will stop the pain, get the lesion out, and send it to pathology to make sure it is nothing else.

Fat &amp; lumps: You can not spot lose fat. If you have actual lumps - would recommend medical evaluation of these.

Go see your doc: Before getting rid of fatty lumps at top of legs, we need to know what they are. Abscess (pus pocket)? Swollen lymph node? Cyst? Lipoma? Cellulite? Go see your doc for evaluation, diagnosis & treatment.

Painful Calf: as we can neither see nor examine this painful lump it behoves you to go to your physician and have it evaluated.  It could be anything from a sore muscle to a blood clot.
