what does it mean when gland is swollen under jawline?

Swollen gland: The gland is probably a lymph node.  A swollen submandibular salivary gland is also possible but would be more underneath the jaw not at the jawline.  Go see your dentist to rule out any teeth or gum infections causing the swelling.

i feel slight pain under left jawline only when i touch it,upon tilting my head backwards i could feel something swollen and painful to touch,its movable,it has been there for a while but no othr symptom.is it a swollen lymphnode? should i be worried?

: It could be an enlarged lymph node but it could be a swollen salivary gland that may have a stone in its duct. If discomfort or tenderness of this lump persist, see your MD or an ENT specialist for evaluation &amp; advice.

See doctor: You need to get tested and examined by a doctor.  If the node is getting larger after a year, it likely signifies something going wrong. Get checked soon.

Many possibilities.: There are innumerable medical, nutritional and emotional conditions that include being tired as a symptom.  These range from simple issues to those far more complex.  A good checkup and blood testing would be a good starting point.

There are other: things that can cause swollen lymph nodes.  CMV, Epstein barr virus (EBV) which causes mononucleosis, lymphoma, leukemia, Hepatitis B or C are a small sample of those things.  Also tropical diseases and parasites.  You should ask your healthcare provider if these things need to be tested.

Swelling: See your Dentist immediately to determine cause of swelling. May be from over-manipulation, abscess, gum disease, blocked salivary gland duct, cyst, affected lymph node, etc. Rx cannot be recommended until the Dentist has diagnosed cause.
