Yes: Blurred vision can occur in up to 3% of patients who use fanapt, (iloperidone) according to www.Drugs.Com.  It would be best for you to see your eye md to make sure that you don't have a condition called "narrow angle glaucoma.".

No: In reviewing the prescribing information, i don't see that mentioned as a possible side effect of the drug.

Not a great choice: Fanapt (iloperidone) is a drug for schizophrenia, and would not be my choice for treatment of insomnia.

Work with your doc!: Stopping medication suddenly is problematic most often cause "discontinuation" syndrome with a range of flu like  and psychiatric symptoms.. Even when not dangerous is can cause distress. In addition, there is risk of return of the original symptoms.Take care of yourself.Talk to your doctor. work together to decide what to do about the medication and how to do it. Good Luck

Fanapt/Invega: Yes. Fanapt could cause cardiac arrythmias and high blood sugar. Invega (paliperidone) could cause high blood sugar. The incidence of these side effects is less common or rare.

Schiz &amp; BPD : Fanapt (iloperidone) has been used to treat mood swings associated with Bipolar Disorder.  It decreases  emotional reactivity so that the pt. is  able to perform well at work--with less anxiety and  with fewer hypomanic episodes and  less intense episodes..  Fanapt (iloperidone)  has been predominantly approved for txmt. of schiz. &amp; psychosis.

Different risks: They all have somewhat different risks, so the best thing would be to speak with the doctor who would prescribe it. Risk also depends on any other medications you're taking and any medical problems you're having. Hope this answer helps.
