Schiz & BPD : Fanapt (iloperidone) has been used to treat mood swings associated with Bipolar Disorder. It decreases emotional reactivity so that the pt. is able to perform well at work--with less anxiety and with fewer hypomanic episodes and less intense episodes.. Fanapt (iloperidone) has been predominantly approved for txmt. of schiz. & psychosis.

Fanapat: has FDA approved indication for treatment of adults with Schizoprhenia. When used for bipolar disorder- that is an off-label use. Please see: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3278183/
