No: In reviewing the prescribing information, i don't see that mentioned as a possible side effect of the drug.

Cholesterol: Although, there is no specific cholesterol disadvantage caused by Fanapt (iloperidone) mentioned in its package insert, it's been shown to increase sugar levels and cause weight gain. I would think it may disturb cholesterol as well to a degree, but that's my own opinion based on the above.

Fanapt (iloperidone): In susceptible individuals, although very infrequent, dose-related & depends on length of time being on it. Same for all other new generation antipsychotics.

The risk appears low: Unlike some of the more infamous second generation antipsychotics, the risk of high cholesterol appears in Fanapt (iloperidone) studies to be far less than with some such as zyprexa or clozaril.
