itchy eyes for the past few months. went to optom and they prescribed fucithalmic ointment. did help a bit, but after using for a month still itches?

Allergic?: May be allergic conjunctivitis which is related to hayfever and may respond better to topical or oral antihistamines, or topical cromoglycate or in extreme cases require topical steroid drops and may explain why didn't quite improve with the fucithalmic antibiotic.  Worth getting a doctor examination to confirm this diagnosis exclude alternative possibilities  and work out best treatment.

Obstetrician consult: Before using Allergex Eye Drops your current list of meds, over the counter products , allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions such as pregnancy must be considered. Some health conditions can make you &amp; your baby more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug.  So to be on the safe side I suggest closely consulting with your Obstetrician before using this or any drugs!

A few questions: Is her eye red?  Is the vision undisturbed?  Does she have an allergic history or recent exposure?  If this is simple allergy she can use over the counter anti-allergic drops.  If the itching is in the skin, she might need cream for this.  Otherwise have an ophthalmologist evaluate this if it is persistent.

Fair to good: Many will do well just using artificial tears to wash out the pollen or other irritants. Zadator is a 2x daily otc product that has helped some.

Not allergic: If this is allergic conjunctivitis, your treatments to date may not have been sufficient.  However, it is also possible that this is something else, such as meibomitis or some other chronic condition.  You will need to see your ophthalmologist for a complete evaluation.
