Huge list: There is a huge list of possibilities as an explanation for a red eye.  In many cases it is viral conjunctivitis ("pink eye"), but there are usually symptoms, but not necessarily.  There are many serous conditions as well.  Best to have a professional look at the eye, like a comprehensive ophthalmologist (an eyemd).

Eye doctor can check: Most adults have had Herpes1 that causes lip cold sores. It is hard to live a normal life if one tries to be clean enough not to catch oral herpes, because that would mean a very high level of "germ avoidance," which we now know can be detrimental to normal life. That said, symptoms the right or left face and eye could be herpes in the eye or facial shingles... should see an ophthalmologist today.

See your doctor....: Sounds like you have an infection that needs attention asap. Removing hair by treading can give bacteria a chance to infect the area.  The fact the the brow is red and swollen is a sign of infection.  The swollen area by the ear is likely a lymph node that drains the area reacting to the infection.  See a doctor as soon as you can.  Go today.

Ocular dryness : It sounds as if you may have ocular surface dryness with a scratchy, foreign sensation that is alleviated with rolling your eye around under closed eyelids. Pulling eyelid away may help with decreasing the foreign body sensation. Trial copious artificial tears for several days to see if your symptoms disappear. If not, an exam is useful to rule out other causes of surface irritations.

i had  yag laser capsulotomy 3 days ago.  my eye is burning and feels dry.  vision not improved. how long till better? should i be concerned?

Post YAG: Burning is from a dry tear film most often due to an unstable tear film (clogged Meibomian glands or decreased tear production: see Eyedoc2020.blogspot.com for more info): this is not from the YAG laser as the laser only affects inside of eye. Usually take few days to a week for improvement if VA change was due to posterior capsule issues that could be treated with YAG. I hope this helps.
