SLT vs Drops: It depends on the level if control needed and the stage of glaucoma as well as the cause of the condition.  Slt done early in the stage has as good a result as any eye drops and for a linger time compared to one dose of medicatin. However it is most effective in open angle glaucoma.  The effect is not permanent and follow up is an important part of managing any glaucoma.

Highly variable: Typically the drops will be more  effective than  slt. Slt is usually  but not always used as a treatment when drops stop working as well.

Possible: In a 58 year old person with primary open angle glaucoma, the chances are about 50% that one type of eye drop will control the pressure for at least ten years.

Glaucoma: Generally speaking it is preferrable to leave laser as a last resort. See your ophthalmologist.

Close but not quite: Avoidance is the best approach and allergy shots can provide long term benefits for many if they have received it for at minimum of 3-4 years.  However allergy shots only work in about 80% of the people.  Is this a cure? Not yet but comes pretty close.

About the same: Slt vs. Antiglaucoma medications both work to lower iop in patients with glaucoma. No significant difference between primary slt  versus a prostaglandin analogue, such as Xalatan (latanoprost) after 12 months of comparison in a study looking at achieving target pressures with each modality. Slt works about 80% of the time & may need re treatment. Medication group may need meds to augment effect.

can i dive if i have pigment dispersion syndrome? no active pigmentation for 2 years now. iop controlled with eye drop and specialist care.

Not a problem: There is no relationship between the steady pressure on your eye from diving, and pigment dispersion.  I assume that your pressure, if elevated is currently under control.  Pigment dispersion will only increase when the eye is subjected to repeated vibration such as occurs when running intensely. Go ahead and dive away.

OK for a start: Depending on how severe / uncomfortable you are, can ask poison control for advice. They may say to get eyes checked at urgent care or er if no eye dr available, so may need to call friend / cab for ride, or ems if severe.

do you know if atropine eye drops can control or keep myopia from increasing?  my daughter's nearsightedness is getting worse and the optometrist suggested she use atropine eye drops to slow it down.

Learned something!: At first glance I questioned the soundness of this advice but upon research it appears this is an acceptable approach now in Pediatric near nearsightedness. Just be sure to keep your follow up appointments to monitor the medications effect.
