Bowel Movement Pain: Pain during bowel movements are usually due to anal fissures (tears in the lining of the anus) or external hemorrhoids which have formed clots inside of them. The best thing to do is to see your physician who can accurately diagnose you and recommend the appropriate treatment.

Pain: Severe tearing pain with a bm and some bleeding is usually due to an anal fissure. Drinking more fluids, less caffeine and alcohol will make stool less hard and easier to pass, but this should be evaluated and the diagnosis confirmed to get the best treatment and resolution.

i believe i have an internal hemorrhoid  because my husband didn't see anything but i bleed and pain during bowel movement. what can i do? i've never had one before.

More possibilities: While an internal hemorrhoid is likely, other sources for bleeding cannot be excluded. Best would be to bring it to the attention of your primary care doc at earliest convenience. Mean time use stool softener, adequate hydration, steroid base cream or suppository.

Could be hemorrhoids: Pain, blood, and itching during a BM COULD be hemorrhoids (varicose veins @ anus), but could be more serious. Itching can be a sign of a pinworm infection.  Other possibilities could be inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn's or ulcerative colitis; or anal/rectal cancer.  It's important to have Dr. do a rectal exam; possibly have a look inside rectum with a scope and take biopsies.  Good luck!

i have an external hemorrhoid. it kind of stings when i touch and apply cream but doesn't hurt that much, even during bowel movement. but it keeps bleeding slightly ever since it appeared. how do i fix the bleeding and make it go away asap?

: You can use external hemorrhoid ointment/ cream a couple of times a day. I would also consider changing your diet TO SOFTEN your stools. More fiber, less meat

Not normally: Internal hemorrhoids: blood filled cushions, not varicose veins; not usually felt during  rectal exam.  Usually painless vs. External hemorrhoids (different nerve supply).  Can cause bright red blood in bowl, on toilet paper, or coating stool.  Bloody pieces of tissue, blood mixed in the stool, dark blood, clots, etc need to be evaluated.  Bright red blood may need to be investigated too. See md.

Bleeding bowels: Yes, you do need more help. If you have not been to a colo-rectal specialist or a gastroenterologist you need to do so now.  You very easily can have a anal fissure or fistula that will need to be evaluated. This is nothing to ignore.

why is my hemorrhoid white? its not an abscess. it protrudes during bowel movement and goes back in after standing up. its not painful at all and no blood. also am i supposed to push every time i have bms?

: No you are not supposed to push- a normal BM is spontaneous. Pushing is when you want to evacuate yourself or during constipation. What you see coming out is probably not hemorrhoid pl have your doc check it. good luck

internal hemorrhoids with ligation. my two rubber bands fell off within 24 hours during a bowel movement (without bleeding), but the hemorrhoids didn't change :( what should i do now? what can i expect? i can't reach my proctologist until next week?
