Please explain: I am sorry, but do you mean you have hyperglycemia (sugars too high) or hypoglycemia (sugars too low) at dawn?  Glimeride and similar drugs are well known for hypoglycemia, which is as dangerous as having sugars that are too high.  I would speak to your primary care provider.

May be acid reflux. : Sounds like acid reflux. Try an antacid like Prilosec otc daily for the next week. Avoid any carbonated or caffeinated drinks, alcohol, hot or spicy foods. Be sure not to eat the last few hours before bed as well. Stop the Prilosec after 7 days and continue the dietary changes. If the symptoms return go see your doctor before going back on the med. They should make shure nothing else is going on.
