i have a mole thing that grew on the inside of my nose and left eye.  it started out flat and itchy, af night it bled and grew roung and shiny with tiny veins it is painful. im afraid it will bleed again .can i het it removed ?

Accepted Answer

: Yes, get it removed!  See an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) specialist or a dermatologist.  See your PCP first to help get a referral sooner.
If it gets worse suddenly go to an Urgent Care or ER.  Don't pick it!.

for contact wearers, blood vessels in the eyes can become enlarged to transport oxygen. are there ways to lessen this effect? thank you.

If too advanced: You need to stop wearing your contact lenses, do not wear contacts over night, follow the regimen prescribed for length of time you wear a pair of cantacts(usually 14 to 30 days). There is no treat to make them go away or regress. Your cornea does not need blood vessels to get oxygen, these blood vessels are not good to have.

i have rebound hyperemia from using clear eyes . will the redness go away? or are my vessels permanently enlarged?  i used it every day for 2 months.

Usually: Usually it will. Occasionally, steroid eye drops are needed for a couple of weeks.

how do you get rid of enlarged, or large gathering of blood vessels in the eye safely?

Exam first: The primary goal is to determine why there is an enlarged or engorged group of vessels on the eye.  Is there an underlying tumor with a sentinel feeding vessel or is there a pterygium?  If no cause is found and the blood vessels are unsightly, excision with cautery usually proves to be successful.

what do a lot of little veins im your eyes mean?

Nothing, normal: Little veins are abundant in the conjunctiva that covers the sclera (white part of eye).  With any irritation, a cold or lack of sleep the veins can dilate and show more prominence. If it is only a particular spot then it may be what is called episcleritis for which you should see an eye md.

Depends: This may be entirely normal. Many individuals have prominent conjunctival and episcleral vessels just as a matter of their anatomy. In some, however, especially if the vessels are extremely prominent ant tortuous, this may be a sign of an intracranial process such as carotid-cavernous fistula or cavernous sinus thrombosis. In others, it represents inflammation. Have it looked at.

Eye irritation: If they are new then you need to be evaluated by an ophthalmologist. They may represent nothing other than simple eye irritation or could be a sign of underlying disease presentation or drug reaction.

Dryness/fatigue: The blood vessels naturally become more visible in the eyes as you age due to thinning of the tissues. Exacerbations of eye redness may occur from a variety of things such as dryness, wind, tiredness, allergies, infections, inflammations, & chronic use of some types of ophthalmic medications. As a benign treatment, trial some otc artificial tears (eg. Refresh tears) to soothe your eyes.
