ER time to see u: Check with your local er. Some hospitals have billboards advertising that.They have phone numbers where you can even get an appointment to be seen in the er. 
Usually very early around 6 am there is a low volume of pts in most ers.  Time varies according to hospital, hour of day, day of the year.

good day, ,my 6 year old swallowed a small marble and as far as we can tell it is not stuck anywhere,should we go to emergency room or wait until it passes normally?

Stay watchful: Children frequently swallow small objects. Most pass through the GI tract in 24h with no problems. Call your childs Dr to let them know what happened. They may want to examine the child. Go directly to the ER if the child has trouble breathing, speaking, or swallowing, is spitting up saliva or vomiting, has chest pain/stomach pain/pain when swallowing, is vomiting blood/passing blood in stool

Overbite or overjet?: A 6mm overbite alone cannot be answered by one modality. What is your overjet? Once those 2 items are factored in plus your orthodontic classification then a few options can be offered.

i ate some crabs ealier today and now my top lip is swollen. i took 2 benadryl (diphenhydramine) 4 hours ago and now i just took 2 more. should i go to the emergency room or wait to see if this helps?

It : It sounds like you may have had an allergic reaction to the crab.  It is also possible to get a bacterial infection from bad crab.  The steps you took by taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) seem reasonable, and going to an urgent care in such a situation can be beneficial because they may be able to give you steroids to bring down swelling, or epinephrin if there is impending throat closure.  You should see your physician to discuss what happened and consider getting blood work to test for any food allergies- like shell fish.  Additionally, if this happens frequently, you may want to have an Epipen nearby just in case the reaction is so severe that you cannot breathe!  good luck and happy eating!

my 2 year old toddler has fast breathing, stomach ache, coughing, painful throat and 38.9c fever. do i go to the emergency room or wait for an appointment at the gp?

ER visit: The combination of high fever, coughing, and rapid breathing is worrisome.  I would recommend to have him/her evaluated at ER. Pneumonia is highly suspected.

skin has a blueish tint on my back and  underarms.i'm very tired & my back is achey .is this emergency room or can it wait till monday with my pcp?

R/o diabetes: Acanthosis nigricans is a condition occurring in people with Diabetes mellitus. Another condition to be ruled out is Addison's disease which can cause hyperpigmentation ,in which steroids in the body will be low. Go and blood checked for these conditions and rare forms of anemia  which can cause skin pigmentations changes including aplams and soles, uniform color change

my 22 month old is running a fever of 39 degrees. should we take her to the emergency room or can we wait until the morning. she is very sleepy. ?

Depends: Many infant illnesses are viral &amp; fever will last several days before recovery. If baby is taking in enough fluids to wet every 6hrs or better, is playful for much of the day &amp; has no specific symptoms you can  let it run its course. If baby can't seem to be playful at all, looks sickly or otherwise spooks you, call the doc's service or go in.

That is a lot of: varied symptoms in a 22 year old female. Unless you have a severe issue such as worst headache of your life, severe abdominal pain - the Emergency Room may not be your best bet. This may need to be worked up over time.  I suggest that you begin with your primary care provider who can determine the best course of action after assessing these complaints. Take care.

Time to see doctor: A person with  "mild chest pain" and chest "tightness" should see a doctor. If her own doctor is not immediately available for help, the wisest thing to do is to be seen at the ER. The paramedics have oxygen, medications, and can do an EKG. The ER doctor can evaluate for a possible heart problem. Even if it turns out to be not a heart problem, the ER usually can provide care.

i have been taking amoxicillion for 9 days.  i have about 6 hives on my elbow area only on both arms. do i need to go to emergency room or can i wait until tomorrow? no other symptoms

By : By the date of this post almost a week has gone by. Hopefully you called your doctor. For the future, you should not take Amoxicillin or related antibiotics. Also if you ever experience an allergic reaction again discontinue the medication immediately and take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as needed for itching, hives, and inflammation. Lastly if you ever experience an allergic reaction accompanied by shortness of breath and/or a feeling that your throat is closing up call 911.
