R/o diabetes: Acanthosis nigricans is a condition occurring in people with Diabetes mellitus. Another condition to be ruled out is Addison's disease which can cause hyperpigmentation ,in which steroids in the body will be low. Go and blood checked for these conditions and rare forms of anemia which can cause skin pigmentations changes including aplams and soles, uniform color change
