im having alot of lower leg swelling and retaining water. my socks leave deep crease in my legs. my husband's are the same only his legs are red and has water blisters and leaks clear. is it heart failure?what do i do?

Edema CHF?: The reason you are both having edema is in part related to eating more sodium(Na) than your kidneys can get rid of. There are many causes and you need to find out as treatment will differ widely.  I recommend USING the app Cronometer to track Na intake to see where the Na is coming from. Your daily goal should be &lt;1,500 mg Na.  Discuss results with your team.  Keep them and us posted.

Potentially, yes: Any uncooked meat can potentially carry infectious diseases--this is why many restaurants will no longer serve rare meat, and raw is even riskier. Cook your meat / fish / animal proteins.

No: They could offer compression to decrease swelling in the leg thou.

Neuropathy: You have some form of neuropathy going on and a doctor can help pinpointing the source. I would also want to rule out a clot in your calf if their is any clinical suspicion of that since you do mention you have calf pain. Your symptoms are enough that you should have sought medical counsel already, so if you have not, please go see a doctor.

will compression socks help with sciatica and or calf and tibialis anterior pain between the base of leg and top of the foot?

Not likely all: Depending on cause of leg pain (varicose veins/muscle strain, for ex.) compression socks may help, but are not likely to help nerve pain or sciatica (which could have several causes).The pains may/may not be related.A good history &amp; physical incl. osteopathic hands-on exam may find cause(s) &amp; determine treatment which may incl. manipulation, prolotherapy, neuroprolotherapy, meds, etc.

Evaluate stockings.: Not all stockings are the same.  If you are having problems with your support hose then they should be re evaluated.  Stocking should fit comfortably and, if you are having a problem, then you should have them checked and , perhaps, you may need a custom made stocking pair.The GSV reflux should not cause the tightness.

Bloating?: not sure what you mean by the 'wadded sock' - but amphetamines can certainly have plenty of GI side effects.  is this a new medication for you?  your bowel movements are regular? i'd discuss with your prescribing physician.

Venous insufficiency: The veins function to bring the blood in the lower extremity back to the heart. The veins may not be functioning well which would cause swelling in the ankles.This is known as venous insufficiency.

Do not have to use: Generally, the human body can tolerate this difference with no ill effect so don't worry about using any corrective device.
