Call your doctor: To know for sure where your doctor meant for you to use each of the creams, call the office. The doctor's nurse should be able to tell you what the doctor intended. It is much safer to ask the prescribing physician than someone else.

how should i treat severe eczema on my neck?

Eczema: It is important to determine the cause of your neck eczema. Could it be the constant irritation of the shirt's tag? Necklace? Eliminating the cause may just be the only treatment you need. Anyway, emollient (thick moisturizing) creams/ointments are the treatment of choice. If severe, a short-time application of steroids can speed up its recovery.

Yes: Yes this is probably nummular eczema.  See dermatologist to make sure.

Vanos: Vanos is a class 1 steroid used for steroid responsive dermatosis like eczema and psoriasis.  Being a class 1 steroid, this cream should be used intermittently and not long term.  Long term use can cause thinning of the skin an stretch marks.  We tell our patients to use vanos twice a day for two weeks then rest one week and repeat if necessary.  Do not use on the face.

Severe eczema: Weeping rash in this young age should be seen in an office and best to see ur pediatrician and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Also they now have blood tests for allergen testing so you do not have to wait for the baby tog et older for skin testing to see what measures will help with the eczema.

Beginning eczema: Eczema on any part of the body at a young age puts the infant at risk for local skin problems, eye problems and systemic immune problems.  You need to see a pediatrician for this who can prescribe the proper medications.  A four month infant scratching to the bleeding point should not be neglected long for this problem, .

i had done ultrasound of neck with eczema under the chin. i did the ultrasound after 5 mins of another person with possible testis us. hiv risk? prep?

Unlikely: I would not expect any blood exchange with this type of Rx. However i have never heard of ultrasound being a Rx option for eczema.

my baby is 2 and a half and has really bad eczema on her arms, neck, and now her face. can i apply benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream to help with the itching?

No do not use: benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream.. Get some aveeno oatmeal bath packets and put her in the bathtub with one of these packets dissolved to soothe the itch. They should help a lot. You can also use 1% hydrocortisone cream twice a day on lesions. These may help a bit. See her Dr. for something stronger.

i have swollen glands on the front of my left neck from eczema. i also noticed small tiny moving lumps behind my left neck. are these related?

Maybe not: Swollen glands, especially in the anterior triangle of the neck in the region of the jugular vein are considered indicative of some sort of pathology, usually not arising from eczema.  If they are firm and have increased in number and extending to the posterior triangle of the neck, biopsy should be performed.
