Perhaps but...: Accumulation of ear wax is common ; can be challenging to remove- even in my office with ear syringes and tools to directly scrape out the wax it can take a long time. but if you have a large accumulation of ear wax you may need to see a doctor (or nurse) to have it removed.

Blocked ears: Please do not try to clear your ears by yourself. You may puncture eardrum or worse.  Please see your doctor who will clean them out easily and safely.  Peace and good health.

Doctor can help: After trying to get rid of ear wax with water or another liquid, there may be a glob of wet mushy wax that is still inside. A primary care doctor can look inside the ear canal and usually get the remaining wax out... either with a curette, or by flushing the ear with water, or with both methods.

Min/Mild discomfort: Deep impacted wax can be removed carefully with only mild discomfort in a specialist (ENT) office with the right equipment. Occasionally drops are used to soften excessively hard wax for a few days prior to removal.

every 10 days to 2 weeks my husbands ear will feel clogged and he cant hear well. he flushes it with warm water using a ear bulb. what comes out seems like a fibrous material, not wax. md checked but saw nothing, not impacted, no foreign object. ?

Clogged ear: Probable Eustachian tube dysfunction. See ENT. Get audiogram and tympanograms. Have him Valsalva frequently when symptomatic.

since last night inside my ears specially the right one are so itchy and i try with my pointing finger to itch all night and i feel they are wet with clear ear wax.
any suggestions? p.s. water didn't go inside?

Possible infection.: Best approach is an otoscopic look in the ear.  If infected but no perforation of the eardrum, a trial of ear drops with a solution of antibiotic and steroid (eg, Cortisporin otic solution) can be prescribed.  A family doc, Ear, nose and throat specialist, or internist can help.

i have swimmer's ear and i have water in my ears and used a q-tip and yellow ear wax came out. is that what's holding the water in?

Probably: The wax will cause water to be retained in your ear canal and lead to the swimmer's ear infection. Unfortunately, removing the waxdoesn't get rid of the infection. You will need to see your doctor and get it checked out.

: You should see an ENT doctor or an audiologist to have the wax removed if the current ear drops are not working. It is not a good idea to continue to treat this yourself as you can end up with an ear infection or an injury to your ear canal or even your ear drum. So, see an ENT doctor or audiologist for continued treatment. Good luck!

hello, i got my ear wax removed by a nurse using tap water with high pressure. since than i am having dizzy spells. its been three days now. ?

Expected outcome: This is one of the many reasons why high pressure irrigation/lavage for external ear canal wax clearance is a horrible idea.  The only way to treat impacted ear canal cerumen (wax) is to see an ENT who can use a microscope and fine instruments to clean your ears.

Vertigo spells following irrigation is common and will slowly improve.  Try meclizine in the meantime and keep your ear canals dry
