Perforated Ear Drum: Is the tear in the actual ear drum? You may have reduced hearing. Pain when the ear drum is pierced usually goes away next day. 
A perforation with a flap or large hole can be closed by the ENT doctor in the office and should be done ASAP before infection sets in. At your age holes in the ear drum are easy to fix.
Perforated opens you to infections.

: It depends on the situation. The water can transport any germs that travel in the water or lay inside the canal inside the sensitive membranes of the middle ear space and trigger infection. Pain and drainage would eventually signal the process is there. The potential is there but I know of no studies that note the document risk.

: Please follow-up with your doctor. Prednisone does not work for everyone and it can take some time to resolve depending on what is causing this. You may need to see an ENT who specializes in dizziness and tinnitus.

Though labyrinthitis  is usually infectious in origin allergies, recurrent infection can rasie the risk .Also with pseudotumor cerebri you can have otologic (ear)  manifestations. F/u/ w/ neurology
