Perforated Ear Drum: Is the tear in the actual ear drum? You may have reduced hearing. Pain when the ear drum is pierced usually goes away next day. A perforation with a flap or large hole can be closed by the ENT doctor in the office and should be done ASAP before infection sets in. At your age holes in the ear drum are easy to fix. Perforated opens you to infections.
