Dying teeth: Sounds like a tooth is dying. Lower molars refer pain to the back of the head/ear and upper molars refer pain to the temple. Dying teeth can have radiating pain causing headache. Please see your dentist or endodontist to evaluate the cause.

Does not always work: Glad to hear that it is helping you, however most people will get no help and there is no scientific evidence to support its use.  If it were helpful to many people it would be used more.

See a doctor: Could be tooth, or sinus infection, or many other dangerous and not dangerous things. Go see a doctor and get examined.

Uninsured patients: Best bet is to have it evaluated by a dentist. Try a local community health center or university affiliated teaching clinic. There usually is one near you that charges little to no cost to uninsured patients.

See your dentist: Sounds like the numbness is in the area of the facial nerve.  You may have a case of bells palsey or a virus that effects this nerve.  See your dentist to rule out a dental cause or see your physician.

Abscess: The problem is not an emergency, but it doe need to be addressed. Do you have a dentist? It would best to see a dentist as soon as possible.

Oral Surgeom: Could very well be from your impacted wisdom teeth.  If so, immediate treatment is required.  I'm a little surprised your General Dentist did not refer you to an Oral Surgeon a decade ago.  Please see one now.

Malocclusion: It may be that your teeth shifted and you no longer have a harmonious occlusion. To determine if that is the case, you'll need to visit a local dentist for an exam.
