Depends....: Recovery depends on a number of factors.  One is what cuased the dropfoot.  Another is how long ago it started.   There are other things that facotr into it.

Pressure palsy: The frequent cause of footdrop is compression of the fibular nerve at the knee in a vulnerable person. In your case, vitamin deficiency. Crossing your legs puts pressure on the nerve at the knee and causes damage to the myelin (insulating material). This causes an electrical block. Recovery usually starts at about 3 weeks.Exercise and B12 will help.

: Find an experienced orthotist, who can design a custom fitted AFO brace.  Cowboy boots may offer a less costly alternative.  A 4-legged walker can help support you when standing or walking.  Wheels can be added to these devices to facilitate stable ambulation.

Get Referred: If your doctors don't know what it is after all those tests, get referred to a specialty diagnostic hospital like Mayo clinic or Johns Hopkins and let them review your tests and see what else they can tell you.  Sounds like you might need to see a neurologist if you have not already.
