i'm a healthy 60 yo man and i'm going to see a dr. for the first time in 40 years. i think i prefer a female dr but will it seem like i'm a pervert if i ask for one? i'm also hesitant because of the exam. would she do the same exam a man would?

It’s OK: Both men and women patients son prefer doctors of the same or different sex as them.It’s a reasonable request too Have a doctor that you feel comfortable with whether it be a man or a woman. The general and genital exam performed by a physician whether they are male or female is the same exam

The whole organ: generally doesn't--even in fatal gangrene, the whole limb doesn't fall off. In fatal appendicitis it is a very small part of the overall bowel that dies off (and releases bowel contents, also bad). Pancreatitis is fatal due to the inflammatory process even if the pancreas is not quite all gone.

Testicles and Life: This diagnosis is in general going to make you more aware of your testicles as your age through the next ten years. You should examine them on a regular basis for any changes or pain.  If you notice anything changing then getting to your doctor early is going to be the best option.  But, in general you should have a very normal life, be able to be a father and live well for a very long time.

Unlikely.: In general, no.  The growth plates in men are usually fused by around the age of 18, limiting further vertical growth.

: Have no idea what that is. Best way to gain weight is to eat high caloric foods. Do not advise supplements as they usually are a waste of money. Better to spend it on good and nutritious food.

: It depends on what you mean by "rare". If a woman has HIV, the average transmission risk to her male partner is around once for every 2,500 episodes of unprotected vaginal sex. Therefore, most HIV infected males in the US caught it sexually from other men, or from shared drug injection equipment. The standard HIV blood tests are 100% conclusive by 3 months -- in fact, usually within 6 weeks.

Hematospermia: May be coming from seminal vesicles, prostate, spermatic cord likely benign but there is some % from cancers. Discuss with urologist.

I advise both!: It is always best to get nutrients from diet ; one advantage food sources of c have is they have bioflavonoids ; other nutrients as well. Many other foods have good sources of c too- see http://www.Healthaliciousness.Com/articles/vitamin-c.Php
but i advise 1000 mg of c 2x/day ; it's hard to get that much from food. Synthetic c is identical to natural c but much is from gmo corn- see comment:.

Depends: Both hepatitis B and C can be transferred via blood, or bodily fluids. Now if a patient has finished antiviral therapy they should be tested to see if they are still infected by checking antibodies. Only then can you be more confident that you will not be infected.
