I'm a healthy 60 yo man and i'm going to see a dr. for the first time in 40 years. i think i prefer a female dr but will it seem like i'm a pervert if i ask for one? i'm also hesitant because of the exam. would she do the same exam a man would?

It’s OK: Both men and women patients son prefer doctors of the same or different sex as them.It’s a reasonable request too Have a doctor that you feel comfortable with whether it be a man or a woman. The general and genital exam performed by a physician whether they are male or female is the same exam
