Indirectly/disbetes.: Eating sugar does not cause disaeses by itself.  Sugar is necessary for the body.  However, too much sugar can lead to diabetes, and obesity, which are not only issues by themselves, they can lead to other problems like hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart disease;failure, visual disturbances, renal problems, and endometrial cancer in women, to name a few.  A balanced diet and exercise is advised.

Yes: Yes, it's possible.  Western diet is very high in carbohydrates compared to other cultures.  There are likely many causes of higher cancer rates, not just higher carbohydrate diets.

Diet: This is tough in 400 letters.  No refined sugars. (not a big cause of cancer, but is related to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, strokes, dementia)  Eat 4-5 servings of veg.  3-4 fruits minimal fat.  Lean meat, preferably grass fed.  Avoid processed food and most anything that comes in a box or already cooked.  
Be a role model for your kids.  Eat that way also.

No, it would be unus: Cancer by itself does not affect the blood glucose, so it is not the likely cause of sugar in urine or high blood sugar. But coincidental Diabetes can occur, so it should not surprise you as Diabetes is fairly common disease. On rare occasions Cancer of the Pancreas can  preceed  recent onset of diabetes. This association should be kept in mind in cases of newly diagnosed Diabetes.

my husband doing chemo after diagnosed with iiib colon cancer, tumor removed  on #7 treatment , sugar level is really high now, what causes this?

Ask your medical tea: Your treating doctors will have the right answer. Chemo does not cause the blood sugar to go up but some of the other drugs used for nausea control can. One such drug is a steroid called dexamethasone(decadron) which can be the cause, but only your nurse of oncologist can give you the correct answer.

can frequent cavities or s.mutans cause mouth or oral cancer even if i am non smoker? does cavities alone contribute? i am getting frequent cavities even though i brush vigorously and have a diet which is very very low in sugar. what to do?

: Carious lesions do not result in cancer but if left untreated will result in loss of the affected teeth.

Hypercoagulability: Your fasting glucose level is OK. F/U with your HEM/ONC to prevent further clots and to check your labs. You may need to have your medication adjusted if you are having hematuria.  Have you had an abdominal u/s or CT scan to check your pancreas? This would be a more accurate test for pancreatic lesions.  Good Luck and feel better

Weight loss but eat: 29 male losing wt despite eating like a pig &amp; peeling a lot. Notes more likely adrenal failure or CA and what kind? Neither would be my first guess  Because u like to do self diagnosis 1st recommendation is to  taste your urine to see if it is sweet. If so U have have diabetes. U may prefer to check blood glucose. Consider: Diarrhea, Malabsorb, Thyrotoxic, HIVAIDS, TBC,  Addison's very rare.

Get real advice: You haven't described having any cancer or supplied any labs. 'pop' advice to avoid refined sugar is subscience, made up by people who want to sound wise because 'everybody knows sugar is bad for you.' having cancer is difficult enough without a burden of superstition. You need to talk frankly with your physician about your labs and your actual health status. Demand the facts -- it's your right.
