NO: No there is no permanent damage. Just try to live a healthy lifestyle and get good rest, eating, hydration, exercise and mindfulness. The dose was low and short time period. You are just worried.

i have been on paxil (paroxetine) for 6 days 10 mg. its causing un wanted sexual side effects. im stopping the med. it shouldnt cause withdrawal symptoms should it?

Talk to your dr: Unfortunately, this seems to be a difficult side effect. However before you just stop, talk with your dr. And see if he/she has other ideas to counter this side effect. Depression itself often is accompanied by lack of libido and other sexual side effects.

Or worse!Talk to Dr!: The withdrawal symptoms from xanax (alprazolam) can be life-threatening, so perhaps you are fortunate. It is never a good idea to stop psychotropic meds without mediucal guidance and doctors will almost never stop these drugs abruptly. If things get worse, get to a
urgent care or an er quickly. If they don't - make an appointment w/ the prescribing dr to quit carefully. Best wishes.

if you shouldnt just stop prozac suddenly because of serious withdrawal effects, how does only using the medicine during the luteal phase work, taking it for half the month then stopping suddenly. how does that not cause withdrawal symptoms ?

Dose &amp; length of TX:  Now a days, some doctors are prescribing daily SSRI for this and others are only prescribing for luteal phase only . By taking it for short periods and at low doses, the chances of getting a discontinuation syndrome remain quite low.  I personally, prescribe long -term meds.

Zofran (ondansetron) for nausea: If you stop a medicine for nausea, most likely you will experience a rebound effect after stopping the medication. Zofran (ondansetron) does not produce tolerance, therefore there will be not discontinuation syndrome or physical withdrawal if not taken anymore. Hopefully the cause for the nausea has disappeared and stopping zofran (ondansetron) will not cause any problems.

Possible, not likely: Relafen (nabumetone) is a non steroidal anti -inflammatory. Stronger than Aspirin and less than cortisone products. It has many side effects. Withdrawal symptoms, meaning a consistent set of issues that arise when the drug is stopped abruptly.Thishas not been reported. However, I have had people describe a return of their original complaints when the drug is halted.  This is relapse and not withdrawal.
