If you shouldnt just stop prozac suddenly because of serious withdrawal effects, how does only using the medicine during the luteal phase work, taking it for half the month then stopping suddenly. how does that not cause withdrawal symptoms ?

Dose & length of TX: Now a days, some doctors are prescribing daily SSRI for this and others are only prescribing for luteal phase only . By taking it for short periods and at low doses, the chances of getting a discontinuation syndrome remain quite low. I personally, prescribe long -term meds.
