Osteoarthritis: Bone spurs are part of most types of arthritis as the joint surfaces enlarge to decrease the pressure per unit area when degeneration sets in. Some forms of arthritis cause erosions, but spurs are typically always part of the form of arthritis we call osteoarthritis.

Not always: Many people can have the same findings. Surgery is necessary in pnly a handful of these prople. It mainly depends on the neurologic involvement this'd to whether  a decision for surgery is indicated.  Your physician can help you determine whether surgery is necessary.

: This may be an early sign of degenerative changes in your knee (otherwise known as arthritis). This may also be a sign of an old injury to the knee. I would recommend you continue to do strengthening exercises and try to remain as active as possible. If it begins to become more bothersome, I recommend seeing an Orthopaedic surgeon or non-operative sports medicine physician to discuss treatment.

Pain due to combo: Pain is probably due to combination of things bone spur, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis can also lead to vertebral fractures which can be very painful.  Get evaluated, may need imaging and d/w doctor better pain control.

Depends: Bone spurs can occur almost anywhere.  The most common site i see in practice is in the heels. However, spurs occur in the spine and around any joint.  It can be painful or asymptomatic.  Many times the spur is not the cause of the pain such as heel spurs. The surrounding soft tissue becomes inflammed and painful.
