Increased sleepiness: Taking a total of 5mg of Lunesta is likely to increase the side effects of the medication without improving your sleep.  You are more likely to have the impulsivity, agitation, bizarre behavior, hallucinations, sense of being outside of yourself, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.  Since you have already slept it off, it is unlikely there will be further effects.

It has an abuse  and dependence potential. Patients may have withdrawal symptoms if taking for an extended period of time.

Narcotic Misnomer: Narcotic is a legal term. It is a sedative/hypnotic that acts at the GABA receptor leading to induction of sleep/anxiolysis. Acts at the same receptor that other sedative/hypnotics agonize such as ethyl alcohol (etoh), benzodiazepines (eg, valium), & barbiturates (eg phenobarb.). Addiction in this class is notorious for having a particularly dangerous withdrawal syndrome (in etoh can be fatal).

You need labs checked including Vit D and TFTS . Also a PSG=Sleep Study. To evaluate for restless legs and sleep apnea.
