i have a overactive thyroid. medicine for 30days now. everything going well. now have tingling back of my head and lips. no other symptoms. is it the medicine or my thyroid or something else? i feel fine otherwise?

: Often thyroid medication has to be titrated to achieve your optimum level. Reports your signs to your prescribing GP or specialist Endocrinologist. S/He may want to adjust dosage.

I don't know: What under control means. If your thyroid levels are normal on treatment, then the symptoms you're experiencing are almost certainly not due to the thyroid. Obviously you need to consult your doctor. Carbimazole is not an approved drug in the us, so can't give you much information about it.

why does hyperthyroidism cause severe tingling pain in the feet?

Hyperthyroid symptom: This is not a typical symptom of hyperthyroidism.  However, the "hyper" symptoms could make you generally more sensitive to everything, and odd sorts of symptoms are common.  If this is due to the hyperthyroidism, then controlling the thyroid (methimazole, RAI, etc) should make the tingling go away.

i have very overactive thyroid. just wondering can it cause muffled hearing. im very very anxious and scared everyday. also can it cause syncope? i get this aswell sometimes. and tingling. have started carbimazole 40mg?

Hyperthyroidism can be associated with tingling, possible syncope espeically if associated with an abnormal heart rate and anxiety. Initial dose of carbimazole is 20-60 mg in 2-3 divided doses https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/4267/smpc#gref.  f/u /w/MD

Yes, Need Treatment: Hyperthyroidism can cause a lot of symptoms. Some people will feel pressure in the neck because the thyroid is usually enlarged. You may feel pressure in your head/ears from increased blood flow, heart rate, anxiety...Dizziness/lightheadedness is very common. The eyes may open wider than nl (in Graves' dz the eye muscles enlarge). With tx the sx's should improve quickly! The eyes may need spec tx.

my wife has tingling in her left arm during a bm. she gets short of breath and light headed. hyperthyroidism was diagnosed, but still has symptoms.

BM, SOB, L arm pain: Have an EKG&lt; see a Dr. do a thyroid profile, do a treadmill test.
She may have coronary disease, and ischemic heart failure. Do a lipid profile and Glucose Hb+ AC1
She must see an endocrinologist and be on therapy as required. Have a cardiologist rule out coronary disease.
She is very young for all this issues, any family history? or heavy smoking?

: Unless your TSH is low than normal, a higher T4 than normal does not mean you have hyperthyroidism. Those symptoms are not common in hyperthyroidism.

Endocrinologist: Facial pain is not 'normal.' see your endocrinologist; if you don't have one (for hyperthyroid) you need to get one.

hypo/hyperthyroidism- is it possible to be on medication with hormone levels regulates and still feel symptoms such as fatigue and brain fog? or is it all in my head?

: In general, no two people react to medication the same way. Often nit takes your Physician time to titrate the optimum dose for you. Also consider that you may have concurrent but unrelated imbalances. Has anyone suggested that you see a specialist Endocrinologist, especially as you seem to have an eccrine imbalance.
