Typically these are: more common with overuse of anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) and not for muscle relaxers. If you have a history of ulcer or gastritis, you are not recommended to take NSAIDs. Always discuss new medications with your PCP prior to starting them, and always read medication inserts to educate yourself on the risks/benefits.

Lumphoma and cancer.: Hyperacidity and h. Pylori infection lead to ulceration of stomach and duodenum and occasionally lymphoma. Acid reflux can cause cancer of the esophageal-gastric junction. Neither should be taken lightly. Actively treat both. Antibiotics are required for h. Pylori and acid inhibitors and antacids for hyperacidity.  
A good balanced diet is always a good idea. No alcohol or smoking.

Gastritis: The first question is whether the biopsy truly shows gastritis. Beyond h. pylori and medications, allergic, autoimmune and other idiopathic causes can be seen. A good pathologist and a good biopsy can often point the direction to the right kind of further investigation. Get a second opinion on the biopsy if you are still symptomatic.

do people who fast and dont eat all day get gastritis/ulcer? as stomach produces acid in anticipation of food. can it be the sole cause for it.

Some basics: The stomach parietal cells create acid in quantities needed to prepare food to enter the small intestine. There is always a baseline acid production/acid environment. The food slurry must reach an acid pH or the digestive enzymes will not be effective. Gastritis can/is triggered by a variety of issues including infection. Infection is also a co-factor in ulcer production. Fasting is not a factor.

No: this looks rather like an infection, possibly a viral infection, rest, fluids, and pain killers, avoid NSAIDs though as you have gastritis, if no improvement or symptoms progress, see your doctor, wish you well

i have been suffering from gastritis for 4 years doctors can't seem to find the cause of the problem. i've been treated for both ulcers and helicobacter bacteria. the problem just doesn't go away. i'm afraid of the effect on the long run?

: Often people make their gastritis worse by their daily habits 
Avoid spicy foods, chocolate, mint, carbonated drinks, coffee. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Lose weight if you are overweight with a large abdomen. Don't eat for at least 3 hours before bedtime. You may need to avoid vitamins or/and dairy depending on the medications you are taking.  Ask about sleep apnea, celiac disease.

Yes...: but usually takes more than 2 days of treatment. Could aggravate prior issue, or be unrelsted. Talk to prescribing doc.

: Coincidence, your upper airway and mouth/digestive tract are the main intake centers for acquired illness. They are separate and have separate types of germs involved.
