have a question, i have a serious itch, and red pustules around the grooming area! that itches when it gets dry! i try to us gold bond and other powders but it's very uncomfortable and it's like acne but itchy.... ?

Exam needed: Rashes are extremely difficult to DX and treat correctly without an exam.
Suggest seeing your Family DR or Dermatologist.

: Duplicate question, see previous reply. Likely yeast infection. Gold Bond will provide no more than temporary relief.

Not great!: Better is the blue-green cannister which contains zinc oxide at 5%! Made by Gold bond! Zinc is anitfungal!

Several options: There are 5 otc preps for this fungal infection. Cruex contains miconazole, a frequently used antifungal. It takes 4-6 weeks and should be used for 1 week past rash disappearance. If resistant, listerine has been found to be effective by some. Good luck. If otc doesn't work, prescription antifungal meds are not that expensive.

Yeast Infection: Yes. But the cream only affects the symptoms, not the cause. You need an antifungal treatment to eradicate the underlying cause of the infection; you might want to consult your Gyn Practitioner for definitive treatment and follow up.

Candida: Candida or yeast can certainly create these symptoms and presentation.  You can get a prescription from your doctor. In the meantime, cut out all sugar and yeast from your diet, keep the area clean and dry and you will start to feel better.

Could be yeast: try either miconazole or clotrimazole cream to the area twice daily and follow up with your physician.

Stop self treating: Get examined. You will need to stop any oils which will "lock in" any fungal infection. You will need to be examined,placed on both oral antifungal antibiotic and a cream that contains antifungal and cortisone medications. 8 years is a bit absurd...and you now have a chronic skin condition. Consider a dermatology evaluation.

Bump: Could be but could also be molluscum or herpes. Have it checked by your doctor, urologist or dermatologist.

This : This is unlikely shingles since the rash itself has lasted months. Perhaps it is a fungal infection or folliculitis or eczema or psoriasis?  I would recommend you see a dermatologist and get an accurate diagnosis so you can start good treatment to help your symptoms.  It is quite common to have these conditions in that location. I hope that helps a little.
