Most interesting: My speculation: your sympathomimetic (adrenaline) meds evoke sympathetic system fight or flight; when evacuation is bothersome. The parasympathetic system evokes pleasure, digestion, orgasm, and bowel and bladder evacuation. I believe that cause of ibs is commonly due to parasympathetic irritation.  In your case the medications counteract parasympathetic irritation causal of ibs.  Skateboarder?

Only if you have a : valid diagnosis of ADHD, as well. Methylphenidate, the stimulant that includes Ritalin (methylphenidate) products &amp; amphetamine, the other stimulant, can increase anxiety. Seek diagnosis &amp; management of your anxiety by a psychiatrist &amp; a psychologist. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy &amp; adjunctive anti-anxiety medications may be the best regimen to manage your symptoms, under supervision by mental health professionals.

2 exist: Methylphenidate extended release tablets are available is some regions. The US FDA has concerns that they are truly not equivalent. Concerta  uses a proprietary capsule with laser drilled holes. This covers a sponge like center with the meds that release slowly through the holes. The capsule is coated with med that dissolves in the 1st hrs. Generics are a tablet designed for slow release.

Only generally: Concerta is a form of methylphenidate, a stimulant used to treat adhd.  If you have adhd, you should have symptom improvement, with increased focus and attention, decreased restlessness, and decreased impulsivity--if those are your problems.  Side effects can include decreased appetite and trouble getting to sleep among other things (see pt insert).  Should know quickly if helping.
