BV: No.  Cipro (ciprofloxacin) does not treat BV.  For treatment, you should discuss with your provider.  FOr women with BV but no symptoms, sometimes treatment is not needed.  As well, BV can sometimes clear spontaneously, without any treatment.  See your provider to determine what is right for you.

Probably not: Bv is caused by an anaerobic bacteria.  The antibiotics you list are generally used for treating aerobic bacterial infections.

No: No.  Bacterial Vaginosis(BV) is caused by a mixture of anaerobic bacteria.  Ciprofloxacin is not active against this type of bacteria.  Either Clindamycin or Flagyl needs to be used for this.  They can both be found in oral and vaginal cream/gel preparations and are prescription only

Both can: Both antibiotics can kill the bacteria in the vagina and allow yeast to grow after the pH change.

Not an infection: Hidradenitis suppurativa is not primarily an infection, but an immune disorder; the exact causes aren't known. Infection often occurs on top of hidradenitis, in which case ciprofloxacin and metronidazole (Flagyl®) might help. But antibiotic treatment won't necessarily prevent or cure odor. You need to be in the care of a dermatologist, if not already. Good luck!

UTI or Candidisis: It is possible that you have lingering infection or a new infection from yeast as a side effect of the treatment out

No: Vaginosis is an encompassing term that refers to an imbalance of bacteria within the vagina. As of now Ciprofloxacin or zithromax is not the drug of choice for vaginosis, because the bacteria that these antiboitics affect are usually not the cause of vaginosis. Usually Clindamycin and Metronidazole are used to treat it. Please consult your ob/gyn for further information related to you personally.

2 weeks ago, i took cipro (ciprofloxacin) (750mg 2x/day) for a uti. after 2 days, i felt pain and numbness in my hands, feet and face. the uti was gone by day 2, but the pain gets worse daily. is this treatable?

Need in person eval: If your symptoms are getting worse despite the fact that you're off the cipro, (ciprofloxacin) you need to be seen by a doctor and make sure that the two are related.
